Now that I have begun driving, I have seen alot of things that many do, and don't consider wrong, while driving. One of the most common of these is speeding. Speeding can be a sin, if done intentionally, because by speeding excessively, you endanger others' lives. That is why we must always try to drive the speed limit. Another thing I commonly see is a lack of charity on the roads. I see many get angry over the simplest things. We must learn to accept that no one is a charitable driver, and not be mean to them. When we see someone who needs to get in our lane, let them in, or if someone does do something wrong while driving, what I like to think, is that maybe they are driving their wife to the hospital to have a baby, rather than, they are just a stupid idiot who has no idea of how to drive, and saying uncharitable things, and giving uncharitable motions. Another matter is drunk driving. This is even more serious that speeding, because it oftentimes does kill or seriously injure another. You can also seriously injure yourself, or other passengers in your car. Be considerate of them, and you must also respect your own body. Be considerate of others, and yourself, while driving. God bless!

"Lack of Charity"???
Let me tell ya about Lack of charity.. The other day my wife was going to the store with our two sons (one is 17 months, the other 3 years old), and she accidentally veered ever so slightly into the right hand lane, causing the man next to her to go into a fit of rage which included various hand gestures and phrases that -thankfully- my children didnt hear. To top off his immaturity, the guy then took a huge swig of his Orange soda and spit it all over my wifes car.
Now I am attempting to become a Secular Franciscan, so its a good thing I wasn't in the car, as that would have set my endeavours back a few years!
Anywho, I thought I'd share!
Nice site BTW!! |

Yeah....it is the same (sadly) in Church. Lets all pray and love and thank the Lord for all that we have. Let us be charitable and good. Then we hear "the mass has ended" and we all run outside to cut off the elderly and get home quick.
Good post,

Andrew,
I am very proud of your driving and you have taught me many things. You are very right about people not being considerate drivers, but as you stated, we should not follow them, but try to set an example and do our best to be considerate.
Love,

Uncharitable, yes, also known as Road Rage. I experienced this the other day... I accidentally cut a guy off and I got out of the way, he speeds up in front of me and slams on his brakes... It wasn't fun and I felt bad about it ALL morning. I guess it didn't help that my turn signals have completely stopped working on me... I don't like driving at all... I really don't want to and I want to sell my car and grrrrr... I just really don't like driving at all...
God Bless and Mary Protect,
